God as Father

Luke 11:9-13   (NKJV)
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

I found a bookmark from Derek Prince Ministries (www.derekprince.org), "God is my Father" - which had the following thoughts and Scripture:

John 1:12   (NKJV)
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

I am a child of God.

1 Corinthians 12:27   (NKJV)

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

I am a member of the Body of Christ.

Ephesians 1:5   (NKJV)

[God] predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

I have been adopted as a child of God.

Deuteronomy 32:6   (NKJV)

Do you thus deal with the Lord, O foolish and unwise people?  Is He not your Father, who bought you?  Has He not made you and established you?

My Father has made me.

Ephesians 1:4-5   (NKJV)

… He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

In love, He has predestined me to be adopted as His child.

Matthew 6:8   (NKJV)

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

My Father knows what I need, even before I ask Him.

Psalm 103:13   (NKJV)

13 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

As a father has compassion on his children, so You, Lord, have compassion on me.

Romans 8:15   (NKJV)

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

I did not receive a spirit that makes me a slave again to fear, but I have received the Spirit of sonship.  And by Him I cry, “Abba, Father.”

2 Corinthians 6:18   (NKJV)

18 “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

The Lord Almighty says to me, "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My child."
